About Us
Before starting to develop this line of cosmetics, Zuleika Torres, dedicated herself for 7 years to the elaboration of natural cosmetics from her home between Springfield MA, and then in her native country, Puerto Rico. Zuleika, who suffers from alopecia areata from the age of 3, always showed interest in her love for makeup and personal care, which prompted her to create different products starting with the basics such as glycerin soaps, to facial care products. This love for the world of beauty grew under the influence of a makeup artist called on his social networks as Brush in a Rush and his mother Rosa María, who always proved to be a woman who loves cosmetics, perfumes and products for her personal care. "I always saw my mother wear simple makeup with brown tones. In fact, his face looked very simple and beautiful," she told us with his face full of emotion.
After multiple attempts in different projects and taking refuge in makeup due to her condition, she decided to launch herself into this new challenge, which would lead her to face one of her biggest dreams. She took the first steps that would take her to know even more about beauty using her certification of natural emulsions as a reference to commit even more to the details that would take her products to another level.
Our Mission and Vision
Mission
Alopecia is an autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss. People with alopecia often struggle with self-confidence and self-esteem, and makeup can be an important tool for helping them feel better about themselves. A mission-focused makeup company could develop products specifically designed for people with alopecia, such as eyebrow pencils and eyelash extensions, to help them enhance their natural beauty and feel more confident.
Kindness and self-love are essential components of any mission-focused makeup company. Makeup is not just about looking good; it's also about feeling good. By promoting kindness and self-love, a mission-focused makeup company can help people feel better about themselves and build their self-confidence. This could involve promoting positive body image, encouraging people to embrace their unique features, and using inclusive language in all marketing materials. Additionally, KALEIIM® could donate a portion of its profits to charities that support mental health and self-care.
Our mission is to empower people with alopecia by creating makeup products that highlight their unique beauty and allow them to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. We strive to provide a safe and inclusive space for all individuals, regardless of their background, to feel seen and celebrated. We are committed to using high-quality, ethically-sourced ingredients and to continuously innovate and improve our products to meet the evolving needs of our community. Through these initiatives, KALEIIM® could establish itself as a leader in the beauty industry for individuals with alopecia, and help to improve the self-esteem and quality of life of its customers.
Vision
Building an academy for people with alopecia could be a fantastic way to not only teach them makeup techniques but also build a community of support. The academy could offer classes on everything from basic makeup application to more advanced techniques, and also provide a safe space for people with alopecia to connect and share their experiences. This could be a great way to not only help people feel better about themselves but also raise awareness about alopecia and reduce the stigma surrounding it.
